As this morning sees more people dead or missing in the floods in Texas from hurricane Harvey, I think this quote is appropriate. I got a weird note from my friends I mentioned previously. It simply said, “underwater, we’re going to be okay, love you.” Heartbreaking. They are a bit younger than me and have children with families in Houston. I saw a video of their area where I used to live and it is horrible. Complete high flood waters covering everything. It makes me sad to think of all the devastation. I saw today that the Navy is sending ships to help but they are two days out. Houston is a large port city, I wonder why it’s taking two days for that kind of help. My thoughts are with them all.

I saw a post on Facebook today of a mile long caravan of trucks SUVs hauling boats to come help.
