Remember hearing that as a child?
Something we are required to do
An everyday chore, yes, it’s true
I don’t care for it, maybe neither do you
Shopping till you wear out your shoes
Some people actually enjoy the task
Traipsing around, but I would rather bask
In the sun, relaxing, not fixated on money
And asking how much is this one, honey?
(Looking for a bargain,
That may be your jargon)
Shopping is therapy for some
I’m just not that someone
I often feel guilty spending the cash
I’d rather keep money away in a stash
For an important occasion
But I fall for persuasion
And end up spending.
It’s a necessity to shop, and it’s never ending.

I find that the older I get the more I want to de clutter 🙄

I agree with you, shopping can be a chore a necessary evil at times….thanks so much for adding your thoughts to this week’s tale weaver.

I find the older I get, the less exciting shopping becomes.
I would much rather read or write.
