I could admit to a lot of things

Probably wouldn’t pull your heart strings

In fact you’d probably have a chuckle

If you knew my knees would buckle

If I came face to face

With some one I hold in grace

But if we’re just dreaming here

Letting just our conscience steer

I would let it drift

Not let it sort or sift

But bring the truth to tell

I think my heart would swell

To meet a person who’s known well

Yes, it’s Poldark of whom I tell.
