It’s a nondescript word, middle
Seems I barely need to fiddle
Around with a poem or story
It doesn’t actually have much glory
It’s neither first nor last
Beginning or past
It’s just there in between
Relatively unseen
And never discussed
Remembered or cussed
It’s not long or short, it’s just the middle
So I’ll not take the time to twiddle.
