Hi, MvL! I’ll take on this quiz, of course I’ll try to be brief 😉. I said, try……
1. If my life were to be likened to food, I would pick Chop Suey. Lots of variety, very tasty, good for you ingredients, a little salty of course and delicious.
2. I think the best way for a movie to live on is to be really good! I do not like many remakes, such as “Mad Max”. I prefer the original form of most things. There have been wonderful black and white movies that just do not have the same quality if remade in the twenty-first century. However, the remake of “Beauty and the Beast” coming next month is a must see for me.
3. A cuisine I would like to try is Thai food. I think I would like the flavor.
4. I pamper myself all the time. I live alone and that makes it easy. I sleep (on a good night), eat, do what I want, when I want, most of the time. I burn scented candles and I love a warm cup of flavored coffee when I first wake up. That’s probably my favorite pampering.
5. Wow, easy one! If I could send anyone anywhere, it would be S and it would be to me.👍🏻😉
6. Since I don’t sleep well at all, I choose never having to sleep. Most of the time I watch what I eat, so no problem there.
7. The most vivid dream I’ve ever had was a recurring one, over the years since my childhood. I haven’t had it in about five years. We had a maple grove of trees where I grew up. There was an open path leading to it and we often walked there, especially in spring looking for the first blooming flowers. My dream was walking there and seeing a big house. Everytime I had the dream I went into another, different room of the house. Weird, eh? Dr. Freud, are you there?
8. I wouldn’t want to go back ten years. It would mean living over again my husband’s illness and death. If it could be all good, sure, but it never is. That’s life.
9. When I get hungry, I usually ignore it. I can go all day without eating anything. But if I go out, I usually eat whatever I want or have been craving, like that rhubarb pie!😂
10. Of course the thing you notice first about me is I’m in a wheelchair. But if I look someone new in the eye and smile, they look at me, and hopefully forget the chair.
Thanks, M.

Thanks so much for taking so much time and effort to answer! I loved these responses. I love Chop Suey. The version in the Philippines includes quail eggs and seafood and it’s so good. I really liked Fury Road! I thought Charlize Theron was pretty cool in it. It was a very adrenaline-pumped film. I just left feeling really psyched and energized. Hahah.
Thai food is incredible! But you have to be a fan of peanuts, spice, and salty. Because those are the three main characteristics. Thai basil fried rice, pad thai, pad see ew, they do really good duck and crab and fish dishes too. Thailand has the full gambit of environments and availability to ingredients and they have been influenced by so many different cultures and cuisines.
I can’t believe how many people can ignore being hungry. That’s such a common and surprising response I’ve seen!
There is so much I think I’d want to learn about you, talk about with you, investigate, there is so much to your writing and your thoughts, I would be too engrossed in all that to focus on the wheelchair. So a smile and a conversation and it’ll be gone.

Thank you for such a nice response. I look forward to reading more from you! And you’re still keeping an eye out for the “one”, right?😉

Keeping one eye open but by the end I’ll have both. Hahah.

Only Aussie’s can make classics like Mad Max

Mad Max is one of the few movies where the sequel was as good as the first. The third was crap though because the Yanks took control of it.

Ahem! I loved the first one. Thunder dome was stupid

Yeah the second where he was in the wasteland was good but Thunderdome lost all context before the writer had no idea what the other two were about and had Hollywood money. The latest one is reasonable but no path on the first two.

Don’t like the new one, story lost. Mel G is the one and only MM.

Oh yeah, I’ve owned it on VHS and DVD and it will always be in my collection in one form or another. Mum and Dad were at the Mad Max museum a few years ago, and nearly all the stars are still bankable in this country.

Never knew there was a museum!

Well it’s a pub in the town where the first one was filmed and they have collected memorabilia and it’s probably the biggest collection in the world. They have regular MM events there and people travel from all over the world dressed as they favourite character but it’s still a life support system for an outback pub

That is good news for them. Whatever it takes to make a living!

We have a lot of life supports for outback pubs that are otherwise known as tourist attractions 🙂

You should do some stories of them, with pictures!

Nah I haven’t visited enough to write about and they all have their own stories I could barely do justice too, especially without seeing them in person.
