Updated About – 2017

A new day, a new dawn, a new year….2017!  Welcome to my blog.  I started this around a year or so ago, and had no idea anyone would read it.  It was a cathartic endeavor.  I’m glad you decided to take a chance and read some of my stuff.  I’m excited to know more of you here on the blogoverse.   Or whatever it’s called.  Sometimes I like my own words better.  I have a sense of humor and usually write that way.  I speak my mind, what little of it there is left and don’t mean to offend anyone.  Well there is this one….nah, JK.

I am a widow since 2013, live alone in a semi- handicapped apartment in Wyoming.  I have three grown children with families and my grandchildren are pictured below.  I love them without measure, and may brag about them a bit. I love the challenges and try some of them.  Once in a while I have a serious moment and write about it.  I hope you’ll visit often and leave your calling card so I can visit you!

  1. Where in Wyoming do you live, Cheryl? I went to school in Laramie and lived in Cheyenne for 7 years. When I go back to the states, it is to Sheridan, where my sister and friends live.

    1. Really? Amazing. I left in ’81 but taught at Central H.S. for seven years. Many of my relatives still live there. Cheyenne is a cool town and much changed since I lived there.

    2. Yes, the wind was brutal. I don’t miss the snow, either, although my house was surrounded by the houses of rr. engineers and the supt. of the rr, so when Union Pacific came to plow out their driveways every snowfall, they plowed out mine as well. Benefits of thowing good parties. I didn’t know there was a South High School. There were only East and Central when I was there.

    1. Yeah that. I know too many women that would rather air dirty laundry in public or with their bestie than with the guy in question, then wonder why the guy doesn’t want help. Guys do the same to some degree but they do it as a joke because they think its funny.

    2. Yep truck drivers are bad for it, the guys I worked with wondered why I never spoke about my wife, they reckoned it was cause she must have been a bitch they never believed I didn’t speak about her because they only ever spoke bad about their wives and I was never going to get involved in such BS

    3. Yeah that’s true, I don’t really know what compels women to do it but some blokes seem to like to brag about how bad their wives are, it’s like saying they married the biggest bitch in the world some how makes them a hero. I’ve always liked my wife and thought more of her than to get in that sort of shit even if we’d had a disagreement. I could have talked her up more but in the end around the drivers it was just easier to say nothing than have them not believe it anyway. Thing is each and everyone of them still went home to their wives every day, says alot about them if their wives really were that bad.
