Waiting and Worried

It’s been four days, my minds in a haze

I said I wouldn’t, but I  just couldn’t

stand by and wait to hear of your fate.

What have you decided to do?

I really need to hear from you.

I know that isn’t what we agreed

but I have this insatiable need

to know of your health and your state.

It’s terrible here, having to wait.

I care, I’m worried, I need to know
