There are times in your life you have to rearrange everything. Some of the happy ones are falling in love, having a child and watching them grow, getting the job you always wanted, being fit in good health – just a few that bring happiness. You have to keep these foremost in your mind when other less pleasant arrangements are made. A few in my life I have written about here in the blogs.
People have no control of unpleasant changes in life. They just happen, turning your world upside down, hopefully only for a short time, till you right yourself and find the boat is still floating. No matter what it is, how catastrophic it is in the moment, you survive. You can’t control what happens, you can only control your reactions. Good luck to us all.

I’ve got a copy of The Little Engine That Could from when my mum was a kid, I had it when I wa a kid and now my kids have it. Was probably the first book I learned to read.

The message from the book is appropriate to a lot of situations. I remember my mum using it on me and I use variations of it on my kids.

I am 🙂
(Just don’t ask my kids, especially if I’ve just told them to stop fighting over the DS, or told them it’s bed time)
