A personal dilemma this week involves making the decision to travel with my sister and four daughters, or stay home where I’m most comfortable. I haven’t seen them for many years and a lot of chatting, crying and laughing will be involved, my kind of good time. They are renting an RV. I have no idea if I could get up into it, or if my wheelchair would fit. I’m content most days here, but the idea of spending time with them and traveling a short distance from home greatly appeals to me. If I was going to advise someone else, I would say go for it! Life is short, carpe diem! Hmmmm.

Traveling with someone in a wheelchair has some challenges, but it’s very possible. My mom can’t be up for too long. A wheel chair helps us do more things. And I want to spend time with her. Go with the family! 🙂

You have a wheelchair? Can you walk at all without it?

Yes, can’t stand for longer than a few seconds. I’ll see when they get here. But I doubt I’ll be able to.😟😉

In that case they can have a lovely visit with you. IN YOUR HOME. Or garden 🙂

Yes, go for it! I’ve been retired two years now and I have to make a conscientious effort to socialize because I’ve gotten accustomed to being alone and not interacting. I talk to my sister once a week, but to leave my space is difficult. I’m currently healthy and mobile, so how much more of an effort it would be it it was otherwise I can imagine. My son offered to pay my way cross country for a visit and it was cool, but ugh at the same time. I would rather they came here. LOL

Yes, the comfort aspect gets to be a priority, sleeping, etc!😉

Go visit your son. Making memories with my kids is another thing I live for. I’m happy they want me in their lives. I think your sons offer is telling you just how much he wants to see you! Do it! I wish you well. 🙂
