Listening to the news this evening, I vehemently oppose the actions of world leaders. There are refugees traveling everywhere trying to escape their countries, their leaders, violence and living in what can only be described as a hell.
As a wealthy country, we need to provide a parachute for these unfortunate souls who just want to be free from oppression, starvation and violence. Interviews with these families that we see are heartbreaking. It’s not just in the Americas, it is world wide.
The sudden realization of being stopped, separated from each other, and denied freedom from their situations I cannot even imagine. It must be terrible.
The flag planted on this peak used to have more meaning.
