Lens-Artists Challenge #263 – Faces in a Crowd
“Old Time Rock and Roll” is a song written by George Jackson and Thomas E. Jones III, with uncredited lyrics by Bob Seger. It was recorded by Seger for his tenth studio album Stranger in Town. It was also released as a single in 1979.

So for the prompt, the three words come from a Jonathan Maberry book titled “Patient Zero” from my favorite guy, Joe Ledger:

Weekend Writing Prompt #325 – Impartiality
1. What motivates you to work hard? A feeling of accomplishment afterwards.
2. It’s been said “Ignorance is bliss”…is it? I suppose it is for some but I would rather have the knowledge.
3.Would you rather be stuck on a broken elevator or a broken ski lift? Explain. Have you ever actually been stuck on either? Of the common fears listed here what’s your #1-heights-enclosed spaces-snakes-public speaking-the dark-flying? The ski lift because I am claustrophobic. My jacket caught on a ski lift and it had to be stopped and I had to be helped off, embarrassing 😵💫My fear of creepy crawlers and spiders are my worst fears.
4. What’s something you like about the town or city where you live? My daughter and family live here.
5. Life is too short to waste time on things that don’t matter.

George Takei Speaks From Experience … We Should Listen
Posted by jilldennison under education, History, Law and justice, Racism & Bigotry, Social commentary
“Most probably remember George Takei from his role as Sulu in the Star Trek series, but Mr. Takei is also a published author and an activist. Today I came across his latest post on SubStack and I think what he has to say is so important that I want to share it with you. I do hope you’ll take a minute to read and ponder, for he has ‘been there, done that’ as they say.”
Tried to reblog but no go😵💫
Was texting my daughter and said,
It’s colder than a cob
out there, 15 degrees, snow, low of -10.
I added, your dad used to say
Colder than a witch’s tit
She replied yes, it’s
Slicker than snot
Hope the kids are careful driving.
Then she added yes, he also said
Off like a prom dress
And we laughed, remembering my husband’s humor.
Of course he also taught the grandkids how to light matches 🙄
My own dad used
Nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
Great jumping toady frogs, Leaping Lizards, If it pleases you, it tickles me all to hell, and Great Jeosophat

Tomtom entered the estate slowly. It looked like someone decided to bash in the vegetable garden! Who would take their frustrations out on a spud, he uttered, and as he stopped to think about it, laughed at the ridiculous inquiry. Tomtom looked around for missing parts of the garden gate that had a strict “no trespassing” policy clearly stated. The gate had been locked but now the lock was broken and the gate stood open. Noticing other vegetables missing, or smashed, his demeanor was not spurious, but one of genuine concern. The garden was his family’s livelihood.
