Cellpic Sunday – The Purple Porsche

Wouldn’t it be nice? Oh wouldn’t it be pleasant? If all the news would double up their presence? Not for campaign speeches or riots causing danger, but lovely acts of kindness, certainly a worthy endeavor. Yes I may be dreaming, just seeing nightmares in the news. I wish we could change their choices of these views.
Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!
This week’s Story Starter teaser is:
“You don’t know me, but I’m the ex-wife of your new boyfriend,” the woman said to Pamela when she answered her door, “and he’s not who you think he is.” Then she barged into Pamela’s home and sat down on the couch!
“Who do you think you are barging into my home like this? I don’t care who you are and what you have to say, so leave.” Pamela picked up the woman by the arm and escorted her out the door.
Pamela had heard all about this ex-wife from her current boyfriend Paul. She now knew what she had been thinking from the start—that this was not going to be a good relationship. She originally liked Paul, but she wasn’t about to take on all of his or their problems.

Quadrille #201: Poems of Place

It was a celebration Sue looked forward to, a happy birthday party for her husband. She had planned it so there was plenty of room for all guests and their children with a play area close. The area also included a converted school bus where the kids of any age could have their face painted and do crafts. Sue was there to greet them all, most strangers to her were from her husband’s office. The day seemed to go flawlessly and when the tray with the birthday cake was brought out, candles aflame, everyone oohed and ahhed. Mark was all smiles as one of the office personnel raised a glass in a toast to him.
That’s when the trouble started. The woman giving the toast suddenly stripped off her clothes revealing a tiny string bikini and went over and planted a big kiss on Sue’s husband. Luckily most small children were inside the bus. Mark backed away and the woman’s friend grabbed the toasted toaster and left the party. Apparently the woman had a secret crush on Mark. The party was subdued after that incident and everyone left early. It is doubtful Sue or Mark rested easily that night.
