I like to travel in a car, the costs of fuel, insurance and the purchase itself can be time consuming and worrying. Should the politics of business or the environment effect my purchase? Should I go with a hybrid or an electric powered vehicle? Since I can no longer drive and I miss it very much, I’ll just go with design, comfort, and color in a purchase. And size doesn’t matter…

MLMM Wordle #364

This funky little poem-dance is a creation of our own making here at dVerse, and it’s as easy as a sharp 1-2 punch:
1) We provide a word – sharp
2) You include that word in a poem of precisely 44 words.

Like thorns pointed and sharp
His words slashed at her heart
Like blood dripping on her breast
Soaking, in every sentence
Like a nightmare she suffered
An initial dream dismantled
Like being buried alive
She suddenly felt suffocated
Like a faded rose, she crumpled.

“You can bank on it”, Joe said with a tap on the desk. “All of my clients love this company for their advertising needs!” Joe then sat back down and tried to calm his nervousness. This was his last opportunity to keep his job. His boss was on him this week every day ensuring him of that fact, and Joe’s dismissal if he didn’t come through. Suddenly Joe sat over his desk in a confidential manner and admitted to the perspective client, “look man, I’m desperate here, I really need you and your business as my client.”

Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!
Cellpic Sunday – Prehistoric Longnose Gar
This is an interview regarding a book in which the Speaker of the House writes a forward with derogatory depictions of Pete Buttigieg and his lifestyle. He even promoted it in a speech! Then he denies it. These politicians that constantly lie is another issue. It’s amazing to me that people supposedly working in the best interest of all US citizens spout this hate. How can we stop it? Why was this even published?😵💫😡

Here are this week’s questions:
1. Did you wake up in a good mood this morning? I was woken up by texts from my daughter telling me to call the dentist…so not so much😀
2. What was the first thing you thought of when you awoke? Who is calling me so early?
3. Tea, coffee, or fruit juice/smoothie for breakfast?Nothing since I had to shower quickly and go to the dentist🙄😳
4. What topping do you prefer on your toast?I like butter or jam or peanut butter.
Gratitude: I am grateful to have a daughter that is thinking of me and keeping me on my toes ☺️♥️

No Theme Thursday (03/14/24 – Updated)

Out from the sand and clay a pearly split rose of cactus flesh, a gem of shaded desert climes, spreads its beauty. A drifted group of these pretty plants is never scarce in a garden. Pick a leaf and place in a sandy soil page of your garden and watch it unveil and multiply.
