Anything that looks like a bug😳
Right now it is “Ironman”
I saw this t-shirt ad:

W3 – Robert Frost

In leaves no step had trodden black”
I spied a crow with a broken wing
Desperately trying to speak or sing
I lifted it carefully in my hand
Its vibrant feathers now dull and bland
A gasping breath, a whispered sound
And then it was gone, heaven bound
I lay it back on the ground
Made leaves a solemn wreath surround.

Just a rose, need no other words
The flower said it all, averred
The beginning of a life’s love

Cooking?

I have a dilemma, found it’s not wise
Relying on old tired eyes
The recipe called for only one dash
After eating, I now have a rash
The peppers too hot
And so I got
Welts on my face
And look a disgrace
The dilemma is this
I hate to admit
I read it wrong
It’s a weary song
I need a cook
Cause I can’t read the book
Properly when making a meal
Cooking has lost its appeal
As time passes
I need new glasses
Or a live in chef!

Fandango’s Story Starter
This week’s Story Starter teaser is:

He sat her down and held her close before telling her the terrible news. “Now stay calm Eliza, this will be painful, I know, but I’m right here, here just for you, my darling.” This was not the first time James had to tell Elizabeth bad news such as this and not the first time he felt literal painful repercussions from it. However, he steeled himself, and continued, “Bergdorf‘s just announced they are completely sold out of the latest Jimmy Choo’s”. James regretted secretly reading Vogue, but it kept Elizabeth out of the public’s eye when she received this type of news.

Climate Change
It’s too late now, they’ve taken to acts of revenge. I wouldn’t just step out with bare feet on my grassy lawn after the sprinklers were on, you might get a shock! And I’m not talking about your brain freeze as you see thousands of electric wormlike creatures gravitating towards your porch steps…notice how they ignore the trees and natural creatures? Yes my friend, they are coming straight for you. Better get on those rubber flip flops asap!

Photo Challenge #534
dVerse Poets

There must be gods somewhere
Providing such a beauty fare
All manner of colors and hues
From maples, oaks, oh I can’t choose
The most beautiful of autumn’s trees
Brilliance before losing leaves
They fall to ground to ease
Soil for another season, please
Loving delicate crunchy, curly, bits
Providing nourishment for spring, it fits
Because every season prepares for the next
Mother nature’s plan not perplexed
She has been around
Knows her ground
And all seasons’ grace abounds.
