Fandango’s Flashback Friday — January 24th

In line would be my gallery of appointments since I left the rehabilitation hospital. Starting at eight o’clock in the morning and throughout the day I’ve had home health CNAs, Nurses, PT and OT constantly coming to my home. I’ve now dismissed most because I can do for myself and the exercises, etc. I still have daily wound care for my heels which is okay. I want them healed asap! It’s the worst. My right leg is able to be stepped on but that’s the worst heel wound so only as long as it takes me to transfer from my wheelchair. Other inconveniences are tolerated but the number of meds I have to be on is disconcerting. I am still on blood thinners from my left broken leg in March. And changing insurances in October was not a great idea. So my daily writing has taken a big hit as I’m fighting med fog. Thanks to all who have kept up reading my meager efforts.🤓🤯 The cold and wind here make sure we know it’s winter.

A fine needle slipped under the skin, it stings. Wheelchair placed away from my reach. What lesson does this action teach? Bathroom visits were observed. I don’t think I did anything so bad this is what I deserve. I could understand some if this was from a nursing manual, but I think at night they all turn. supernatural,

Sue always wanted a fur coat
Taste simple it had to be mink
Her husband refused to spend
Not real fur – but a nylon blend
Gave the gift with a secret wink.

Basketball a worthy endeavor
Being short bothers never
Reaching for the highest goals
Defying what you’ve been told
Up as if being lifted
Proves you are gifted
With hard work and much practice
You find you are not lacking
In what it takes!
