One-Liner Wednesday – My cup

I’ve read many books by VE Schwab, starting with “The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue” which I loved. I also loved the “A Darker Shade of Magic” series. This book is the first of two in a different series, “Vicious”. Also, the narrator is excellent.
“Victor and Eli begin as college roommates and discover that near-death experiences, under the right conditions, can create superhuman abilities.”

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (November 18, 2024) 📚📚

I chose number 2:
Rocky Mountain National Park
I think you already know I live in Wyoming. It is not my choice. I’d rather live in Colorado. This state is all red. Colorado is blue. And of course now all that doesn’t matter. I’ve ranted on this so I’ll skip off to a favorite subject of mine, mountains. The Rocky Mountains stretch from New Mexico to British Columbia. If you want to see the various altitudinal zonation changes, it’s your trip. I took this drive and for the first time I saw little pikas and yellow bellied marmots. There are elk, big horn sheep, and even bats flying over streams at night.

This Week’s Writer’s Workshop Prompts – November 18, 2024

Diet Degrade
I came home from the doctor’s appointment and opened the cupboard. There lay all the supposedly healthy foods I used in my diet the last three months. My weight, my cholesterol, my general health was bad; the experts and blood tests reported, so I bought these lovely items to improve my well being. Today the new tests showed I had gained ten pounds, my blood counts were way off and in general, I feel lousy. So I pulled up my trash can and emptied out the cupboard. Then I got in my car and went straight to the KFC drive-thru.

W3 Prompt #134: Wea’ve Written Weekly

Your challenge is to write a poem about a dragon:
If you are new to dVerse, here’s how to join in:
His name Dijon, the color of mustard

To ride him calms my mind, flustered
I would ask him, to the mountain please
He would angle his wings, we’d fly with ease
Of course he would often detour
Anywhere, his choice du jour
I don’t mind the deviation much
Instinctively he knows when to touch
My mind with lovely stories told
Adventures together when we were bold
He’s my friend and companion true
He takes me where I forget the blue
We streak through a sunset glowing
All the while he is knowing
What my mind and heart feel
Every voyage a comfort wields.

Moonwashed Weekly Prompt – Tangle
A prompt from Linda @https://lindaghill.com
It’s Cold! That’s what, and of course windy because winter is coming…Traveling for Thanksgiving reminds me of the old song “over the river and through the woods”!
