It was the bravest thing he would ever do, but this daily routine of no accomplishments, no outside connections, called for something new, something daring! No matter the many others who failed evidenced in green statuettes along the way, no fear was his motto for the adventure.
Many tried and many failed but somehow all the introspection of weeks in isolation had bolstered his resolve. He donned the backpack with water and energy bars inside, his sticky climbing shoes, adjusted the roll of plasma rope, and started out with only determination as his guide.
This is me after reading how Trump spouted he did an excellent job in his reaction to the virus.

Music, words and music. . .Just sitting here minding my own business and a song pops up on a playlist. . .oh, man, haven’t felt this for a while. But it was how I felt in 1965.

Covering my mouth
Words come willy nilly
Trying not to show I’m feeling silly
The room is darkened
The mood is cheerless
For some unexplainable reason
My brain seems fearless
Sudden ridiculous thoughts unbade
Out of my lips invade
Causing a silly embarrassing tirade.

It may be everyone’s favorite, the rose
But more delicate to my nose
Is the yellow jasmine
Drifting in my window
From its delicate garden show
You may rest on lavender
Swathe cherry blossoms on your skin
But jasmine is my favorite
To bathe my wanting skin.

Every day it’s new
An ever changing world view
So many dying
Adults, children, families
The virus doesn’t take ease.

And if I could I’d be dancing the chacha, but instead I decided to celebrate by making a mocha latte. This coffee drink comes in powdered form with specific directions. Both times I’ve made it, I misread the directions. New glasses, anyone? This is it:

I ordered it from King Soopers and it costs $6, but it’s much cheaper than going out for this treat. I have three more tries to get it right! It’s very “chocolatey” and you could even add whipped cream if you wish.
Now for my contribution and celebration of this special day in Mexican history, I offer this, even though it was originally composed by Ernesto Lacuona from Cuba. Enjoy!

One of my granddaughters just sent me this. After four years, this?🥴 A snapchat mustache added–still has a sense of humor about it.😄
