My beautiful, my one and only,
the palest part of your deep blue eyes
lovingly remind me of the heather
we laid in on that warm day.

With the corona virus lockdowns it seems “everything old is new again”. Including family dinners with actual conversations, board games, books, and taking time to see, hear and listen to each other, whether you like it or not! Life is changing and it’s difficult to see the positive side, but returning to face to face conversations with your closest is one of them.

I approach the steps so carefully
Each one softly tread
I can climb so secretly
‘Cause I’m already dead.
I’m drifting upwards toward my quest
She’s lying there asleep
My fangs will find her neck and chest
Her blood will start to seep.
I’m not a bad guy really
It causes me some strife
I can’t care for her feelings
I need blood to sustain my life.

My chili debacle came to an end last night at eight. After trying google food editor sites’ advice on how to de-spice a soup, I added a bit of sugar, two cans of diluted tomato soup, a potato, and can of corn and when all that didn’t work to lessen the flaming quality, I added a bag of mixed dried beans with veggies. No luck. I finally gave up and put the huge mess in the fridge. I’ll taste again this morning but think I’ll have to throw it out. It was a learning experience but an expensive one.
On a happier note, I have a colonoscopy appointment for the end of this month. See? Life isn’t all bad. . .😫.

And I’ll refrain from saying what goes around comes around in T’s case. . .or not.

Well I’ll tell you, October 1st and I decided to make chili. I thought I had the ingredients but after sauteing hamburger, onions, chili powder, garlic and spices, went to get my diced canned tomatoes which I always have in the cupboard. It read, HOT – HABANERO AND JALAPENO peppers added. Yikes!
I have family that sometimes put away a grocery order and I didn’t see the can of this or would have given it to the spicy food lovers in the fam.
So I added it to the mix along with another can of a substitute made by the KS shopper, kidney beans. I added another can of tomatoes, dilouted beef bullion, and tomato sauce– all hoping to tone down the peppers. It’s simmering now.
If you don’t hear from me again, my mouth and throat have been turned to charcoal.
“Mama Mia, that’s some speecy spicy chili” 🤯🙄😯😤😳😩🥴🤓🥺
