“Seeing is believing, but I still can’t fathom it!” Joe declared, sitting with his wife Maddie. Maddie thought it was impossible to hear. The past few months had been a nightmare, as far as she and Joe were concerned. Joe lost his regular job, and Maddie was just hanging on to hers, a nurse in the small local hospital. It seemed that since Joe had now become part of the National Guard, his beliefs were skewed. One Liner Wednesday

Yesterday? Contemplating, aka just sitting around thinking🤠 Actually what I was really doing was figuring out if I had enough baking supplies to make cookies for Christmas presents. I make good molasses cookies and peanut butter that really taste like peanut butter. I find most store bakeries etc do not have enough flavor. I have a few reliable recipes on hand. Have a good Thanksgiving if you celebrate💕

Riding up to the hospital entrance again to what seems unending appointments, I see the little oval shaped tree standing by itself in the entrance. My visits have buoyed seeing the orange leafed tree. My last visit saw the remains few leaves still clinging to baring branches. I still admire its strength to last so long.

observe the beauty

see simple sunset hued leaves

a treat, an escape

forgetting a daily chore

take solace seeing this tree

“Be there or be square”…remember that? If you were in high school in the sixties (egad!) you will. It implies that if you do not attend, you’re not one of whatever group is getting together. I remember it as gatherings at the local lake and everyone sitting around talking, of course about world changing events😳or the latest drive in movie or just swimming or tanning. What do you remember about it?

He was amazed at all the products and items with the college mascot on them. Finally he saw the rack of jackets, and tried one on. Joe was absolutely shocked seeing the price tag.
