Flaming Fans

Joe was the typical fanatic when it came to watching his son compete as a track and field participant and his son, Mike was an exceptional runner. Watching from the sideline it was hard for Joe not to yell encouragement for Mike. The relevance of some typical parents’ comments bothered Joe. He believed in being positive only. The cumbersome presence of unruly adults required a few coaches to require protection! The results of these childish adult actions seemed a furphy reported in the local news, but Joe and the participants knew it to be true.

May 4 “We should always support good writing. Even though it appears there are too many lazy remakes and shitty TV shows and movies, there’s always good writing out there. For every ten “Two Broke Girls,” there’s at least one “Community,” or “The IT Crowd,” or “The Good Place.” You just gotta search for it.”http://claytoonz.com/2023/05/04/scabbing-with-tucker

Fandango’s Story Starter

This week’s Story Starter teaser is:

HE STOOD THERE FOR A LONG TIME WATCHING THEM THROUGH THE WINDOW. He couldn’t believe how much they had grown. His mind drifted to ten years ago when they had set up Tball in the backyard to practice and she a tiny “catcher” standing behind her brother and he swinging the bat and catching her in the cheek. An ER trip ensued and his middle son was crushed with remorse. Her older brother quickly picked her up and after, they all sat around in the waiting room and then learned the cheekbone was only cracked.
Now he observes them playing ball in the yard again, she all tall and beautiful and her older brothers laughing as she hits the ball hard. “It’s a homer!” they yell and the father smiles.

Complaint

Does anyone else have a problem with Mr. Linky? Probably only me as usual… if I write anything requiring a link to this site, I take more time to finagle it than writing the post!

If you have old fingers like mine, and you hit (him) instead of the little box, it takes you to a lengthy green explanation of what (he) is. If you click back it goes away and you have to revisit the original prompt post to hit the link again.

Also, this requires me to follow myself to get an email of my posted response in order to have the url to post on the link. Confusing isn’t it? And too much time consumed to get it posted on Mr Linky. Maybe Mr. Linky is just Murphy in disguise 🤨

Maybe if you use a computer instead of a phone you have multiple windows so this back and forth nonsense is not a problem. I only use a phone. I wish we could just link to the prompt post without 🫨 Mr. Stinky (oh sorry, that was harsh) Linky.

Map the expanse of love from

When first I saw you—

Marriage yield signs through “under construction” motherhood

The bridge of two in love to parents, crossed

Expectations road sign warnings here and there

Expanding with time, the map offers new travelers and destinations.
