In China, you might find a high place where people pretend to be shy and you start to think and wonder if this really is a Utopia. Inside the caves, is there a real plea for hunger, or are they quietly content?

I have no clue
About the moon
Waxing and waning
Where do you get that training?
“Obviously”
“on the moon” the professor said
I looked around with dread.
The teacher adjusted his pipe
“Yes, all other theories are tripe!”
(See the four theories of the moon)
Waxing moon: moon appears to grow in size in a two week period.
Waning moon: phase where the moon shrinks from full to a new moon

Simply said, almost surreal
Especially the autumn appeal
Delicate foliage spreads in the wind
Waving their last puff, though pinned
Tiny fronds say their goodbyes
Sadly, through my eyes
Another season passes
Soft puffs among autumn grasses.

Simply 6 Minutes – Welcome to the Challenge: 04/28/2026

President Trump, now confirmed as a conundrum, actions started as humdrum, so far slow witted, always beating his own drum.

Welcome

If you want a tan in ten minutes time I suggest you get a ten ton tun of “Fun in the Sun”! It’s harmless but be careful, it works really fast, and you need a lot cause one dip in water, it doesn’t last!
I don’t lay out as the kids put it, my skin just turns red. Happy Saturday!

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS April 25, 2026

Joe stood at the door, the bell tones a distant ring in his mind. The key he knew wouldn’t fit in the lock as he wished it would, but tried it anyway. A list of his actions, an invisible bill he would not forget and her spoken limits, spilled like a smoke miasma over the entryway. Still, he kept standing there, waiting, wanting to hear the click of her high heeled shoes and the silky slide of satin fabric against her body.

Painted iron based keys, a mystery to the small hands fiddling with great grandma’s belongings. Hands tiny, but minds heavy with curiosity. What would these keys open – a small box of secret treasures? Carol stifled a giggle as she looked at her sister, two years older. Maybe she knew, but then Mary shook her head nervously and hoped they’d get back to the tea garden soon. Mary was not the adventurous type and certainly never wanted to disappoint mother. Carol thought they were just sitting there in the bowl, and quickly snatched one for her apron pocket.

V is for vote, and this year, it is super important you do so! For yourself, your families, your children’s futures. Think of a library where you could no longer let your child pick out the book they want to read, or being accepted in a college class, eat at your favorite restaurant, etc, etc….Think of the freedoms you use every day and what it would mean to not have them anymore. I’m asking you to think and VOTE!

We looked out the window
Saw nothing but snow
Kids were squirrelly
“What can we do now?”
Parents spied their looks of doom
Decided to move to the other room
“I know what, popcorn balls!”
Mom’s expectations were small.
Dad started popping the corn
The popper looked pretty worn.
He over estimated its capacity
Mom thought, what audacity!
His not reading the recipe
Turned the kitchen to a messily
Full blown popcorn popper’s delight
Popcorn everywhere caused a fight
Mom and dad ever so sad
Butter sugar mess was what they now had
Kids gloom just disappeared
Faces with corn butter smeared
Parents slumped in chairs looking tired
Kids now smiling, their parents admired
Saturday Slime Day it was named
Used it Saturdays when weather was lame.
