This week’s challenge for #Tankatuesday is to create a dodoitsu. The syllabic scheme is 7-7-7-5, and we have to use these “kigo phrases”:

  • #1: “early winter dusk”
  • #2: “chilly north winds blow”
  • #3: “warmth around the hearth”

Insurance company which takes a bank draft for payment but I’m getting a monthly letter now saying I owe anything from $7plus or my account will be closed . They only communicate online. I put in my bank card and for an $8 charge they took an extra $4 for a company called DOXO!😳🙄I am livid!

Another day another rip-off 😡

Doleful guilt cast a shadow over the family supper. It was no secret the only Christmas wish at the table was the gift of a dog. The pleasing happy smiles of the children had turned into a cloud of sad when their parents said there would absolutely be no pets in their new house. The parents cast a secret look. The next morning the children went first for their stockings and the look on their faces were priceless as a new puppy trotted over wanting to play.

Gratitude: We had a rollicking time making small gingerbread houses with real GB that kept falling apart. Only two are still standing😂 We also sang along to eighties music which was fun.

If I could draw a perfect sketch
All of your essence to collect
You’d probably be circumspect
Because I can be very direct.
Physical form would be the start
Penciling in the biggest part
Of course t’would be your heart

The despair of being penniless, homeless, or sick and having no one to help you; your words and thoughts never heard, or ridiculed sometimes to the point of violence. Lonely and miserable, covering yourself completely shuts everything out for a short time.

“June, is this one okay?” “Too small Bob, I want a full Christmas tree like always.” “Well that’s fine except for one title detail—remember last year? We had a big living room in a big house! Now we live in a trailer home and we have no room as it is!” Disappointed by their lot in life in retirement and loss of income, June picked out a small tabletop tree for their home.
