MLMM Saturday Mix

Your nonsense word this week is: “muirmap” Remember, define it; then use it!

***

(Route shown for California Redwoods)

It’s obvious to me

the word muirmap’s about those trees

Those big masterful ones you see

In Californeeyaaee😳🙄

Beautiful areas and to be specific

They’re in a state edged by the Pacific.

Redwood trees spoken of with admiration

By a Scot named John Muir and whose creation

Of a National Park system for us all

So redwoods and more would not fall.

No Nonsense – Saturday Mix, 16 March 2024

Anyone else?

I have been having a hard time writing on the blog and wonder if it’s me, my phone, or WP! For example, today writing that short poem on SoCS, the lines jumped around and I had to keep copying and pasting to get them in the order they belonged. This happens with story writing also, if I change or add any words. Anyone else having this problem?

And let me take this opportunity to say

to all of my readers and for your comments which means you actually take the time to read my nonsense and let me know what you think. I love the interaction with you as I’m sure all of us bloggers do.

Some people love wool

I’m a dissenter

Wearing wool on my body

Never does enter

Cause it’s the kind

My befuddled mind

That’s allergic, oh yes

Give me cotton vests.

Snow is melting in icy patches and the temps are warming to 36F so all is well. Soccer tourney this weekend 👍🏻👏

Fandango’s Flashback Friday

#writephoto 11-30-19 by rugby843

Mary saw it in a dream. A perfect scene, with all the elements she loved. It was only a dream, the same one every night, of a meeting. She would be sitting there by the tree, autumn leaves falling around her, cozy blanket to perch on and another for warmth.

Mary would wait there until the blackness rose above the sunset and the chill made her leave. An unrealized dream of every sunset, waiting for him to appear over the horizon and be with her once again.

Simply Six Minutes

Tango music was playing over the nature park’s loudspeaker. The two flamingoes were painfully entangled, practicing for the park’s annual fund raising event. All nature and animal lovers in the area were supposed to attend. Fred and Felicia were the star attraction and if they ever got loose from their present tangle they would tango!

Fandango’s Story Starter

This week’s Story Starter teaser is:

As the sun dipped below the horizonJessica knew she finally had to confront her fears. At least no one else was in sight to see if she flopped, literally flopped off the surf board. She stepped into the salt water and laid down on the board. She paddled out just a little ways and tried sitting up and then standing on the small piece of fiberglass. It was slippery but she could stand! So excited, she practiced a while more and then thought she was ready to try it in public in the morning.

What Day is it Anyway?

WDIIA is a prompt idea from;

I woke up with 3/4 of my head aching badly. I think I have an infected tooth. I called the dentist, no call back, called my GP and seeing him in an hour. Opened the blinds to see blowing snow and this on app:

Great😵‍💫

My daughter is busy getting a soccer-family -potluck organized happening tonight with little help and leaving tomorrow for the first soccer tournament if the roads are clear, so today is the day to get to an appointment.

She is my go to and will take me to the doc. She’s one of those “if you want something done ask a busy person” people. I am so lucky to have a supportive family. Getting the old wheelchair and me in and out of the car in a blizzard is no fun but we joke and laugh through it. A sense of humor rules!

I hope your day is a good one☺️
