Suze asks some questions…

Okay…….I had a daily prompt for a few months, then it turned into a every couple of days…and morphed to a once a week before I simply became overwhelmed with life as I know it. I had a bunch of stupid, intelligent, brash, obnoxious or silly questions all in a draft that I kept…until now.

I figured just use up the remaining ones all in one go and see if anyone wanted to answer any of them.

So here they are…..

  • When was the last time you laughed so hard you almost wet yourself? 2015 when I lost my bladder to cancer and was fitted with a urostomysee? There are positives
  • What’s your favorite song to sing in the shower? I don’t sing in the shower, the auto fan is always on with the light and the curtain doesn’t close all the way, so it’s freezing!
  • If you could have one super power what would it be? I guess making the world free of war is out, so maybe make every person be sympathetic to others.
  • What’s the worst pick-up line you’ve ever heard? You have a great laugh…I don’t.
  • What’s the best joke you know? Two strings walk into a bar, I forgot the punchline.
  • If you worked in a circus, what would your job be? Ticket sales.
  • What’s your best dance move? 😂😂😂😂
  • What was your most embarrassing moment? Too many to state although last year at Halloween was a topper…at the doctor’s office a nurse came out and he was absolutely covered with tattoos a bald head arms everything covered with tattoos and he had some funny kind of glasses on and a Halloween shirt. He asked me if I’d like to follow him in to the exam room area. I thought I was being funny when I said I don’t know. Is it safe? My daughter was behind me trying to melt into the carpet without success, and that’s when I realized all the tattoos were real.🙄🤯
  • What’s your strangest quirk? I find humor in very small things which makes other people look at me like I am nuts, which, of course I am.
  • If you could trade lives with any celeb, who would it be? I wouldn’t be a celebrity if you paid me, I like my private life too much.
  • What’s the oddest food in your fridge? Tomorrow is payday so right now my fridge is practically bare. I suppose a dried up lemon might qualify.

Answer one or all……..or none. Just making this post gave me something to do with my unending time. Maybe you too can waste some of your own.

I used numbers 2, 4 and 5.

I’m sure I’ve laughed many a time inappropriately but my brain keeps them hidden. My jokes never go over well because I’m terrible at telling them! I was trying to tell a couple of plumbers repairing my sink, an old joke that involved a plumber and a parrot, maybe you know it? It’s one of my favorites, but do you think I could remember it exactly when telling them?🙄🥴So I’m sure those young friendly guys thought I was a bit touched like most some residents here at the over 55 complex, but hey. Of course I remembered the entire joke the next day. I seem to have a brain that loves to mess with me. I’ll be thinking of a word or name and actually see it run through my head, but it’s too fast to read or catch and hold. Aging is one of those trials we all have to put up with. If we’re lucky!

I love the words and music from this entire album. Bonus…you can understand every word! “Savage Garden is the debut studio album by Australian pop duo Savage Garden, released on 4 March 1997 in Australia by Columbia Records and Roadshow Music. The album won the award for Highest Selling Album at the 12th Annual ARIA Music Awards, selling more than 12 million copies worldwide, according to Billboard magazine.[6] In September 1997, Savage Garden won a record ten ARIA Awards from 13 nominations for the album and associated singles.[7][8] As of 2005, Savage Garden had been certified diamond in Canada,[9] 12× platinum in Australia,[10] 7× platinum in the US,[11] 2× platinum in New Zealand, Singapore, and in the UK.”

I started being addicted to these songs and lyrics in 2015, for personal reasons. I wish they had continued.

Fandango’s Story Starter

This week’s Story Starter teaser is:
Several theories about how she’d been murdered had been floated, but the evidence always pointed back to one. “The husband, it’s always the husband…” Joe Jumbles, chief detective, said to his fellow investigator, Paulie.

“Well you really never know, she was not exactly a loved employee. Jazzy Julie was the most liked at the club.”

“Face it Paulie, no guy likes a wife who makes more money than him.”

The two detectives mulled around the room, and carefully picked up the supposed murder weapon in gloved hands—a pair of fishnet stockings. They had been twisted around the victim’s neck causing her to asphyxiate. “She’s not a small woman, it would take some strength to hold her till she stopped breathing. Another reason to suspect him. He’s a wrestler for god’s sake. He probably wouldn’t even need anything but his hands.”

“That may be true, but it’s also a reason not to suspect him, why would he use the stockings? And they leave DNA proving he did it! It all just doesn’t make sense.”

Meanwhile in the Cuddle Cuties dance club, the real perpetrator was furiously applying her make up. Her spot for top dancer was now guaranteed. Julie was stronger than she thought. Luckily she had stockings lying around. The heavy cream concealed a few bruises she received in the act of murdering her rival.

Simply Six Minutes

I know, he’s not an ordinary guy

And some of you are asking why

I have such a need

For this unusual pet, indeed

It was not my original intent

I was having a jaunt under trees and went

Too close to the stream’s wood-strewn edge

And decided to rest on a loggy ledge

The ledge was not a log at all

And suddenly flipped me near a rocky wall

I stood up quickly, looked and found

The log was moving close to my ground

I shrieked of course, who would not

And then the creature came right to my spot

Softly he took that enormous snout

And started stroking my foot on about

I bent down looked in its eyes

They seemed caring and even wise

I know you won’t believe my story

But here’s the proof in all its glory!

Reflective Night

It wasn’t a smart choice—those jalapeño poppers were hot! She discreetly spit it into a napkin and pushed it through a refuse slot. She was in no hurry to meet the bus tonight. It must be a sign, maybe I need some proper clarity on exactly how old I am, the days of hanging out after work with a few people, as I recall, were free of care; being single and if you had one beer too many, a friend was always there to drive you home. The honesty of those times came flooding back as she walked the rest of the way to the bus. I guess I need to prepare myself that now I need a “pop” from the double shot latte at the coffee shop.

Sad News on Veteran’s Day😡

From NPR:

“An NPR investigation revealed that a VA home loan program intended to assist veterans ended up forcing thousands into high-cost mortgages. Documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act indicate that at least 1,300 veterans faced monthly payment increases of over 50%. While a rescue plan being rolled out by the Department of Veterans Affairs is now being implemented, it excludes many who require assistance.”
