I am a widow since 2013 and live by myself in a small apartment. I use a wheelchair to get around, but I wouldn't consider myself disabled. I'm 11 years away from having bladder cancer resulting in a urostomy and I'm doing well. This cancer was a result of having radiation in 1995 because of uterine cancer. So have faith in yourself, a cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence. My first try at blogging was an attempt to help other people with my condition. I am a mother of three married children, and a grandmother to eight gorgeous kids, featuring them often here, and a great grandmother to two as of today, 6/7/25! I enjoy exploring my feelings and like to try the challenges. I like humor, music, movies, games, and some sports. I absolutely appreciate your reading and commenting on my blog. The Meeting
Pervading candle shadows cast a beautiful wavering glow over a lavender jacket, which hid her curves. This only entrenched the tee shirt wearing man’s ardor who was taking slow steps toward her. She stood as he slowly removed his shirt, tangential soothing words escaping his lips. She turned away as he carefully, seductively removed her blouse. There was not much of a variable in their speech from then on, only sounds of pleasure.

Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge
***I changed the rules and wrote my own true story.
When did I lose control is a question people might ask after experiencing a life changing event. I know I did. Having three major events in two years brought my life into clear focus. I think before I had been undermined by contentment even though nothing was ever perfect, I was happy and settled. I am an organized person. I like things “settled”. Upending events in 2013-2015 showed me something different. Now almost ten years later I feel settled again. Whew!
