“Oh I see you are practicing again, how nice! Not many people do, but when giving a speech to a somewhat noisy crowd, lamprophony is very important! But I am so proud of you and I think your classmates are too. Valedictorian on your transcript will take you far!
Joe adjusted his tie for the fourth time, and wanted it looser so he’d be more comfortable. Getting up there to give a speech made his legs feel like jelly. He could count on his mom for fortitude.

“There she goes, grab her Henry! She will get all the other girls! Henry, watch out she’s coming for you!”

“Squaaaak!” Henry tried but too late and he suffered a bite on his neck.

Harry ran to him but there was nothing he could do. He started squawking really loud to attract the farmer to get Hilda away from Henry. Thank heavens he noticed.

“Been at it again, Hilda?” The farmer picked her up and isolated her in another pen. Then he attended Harry.

Joe was just an ordinary bloke. He lived alone, couldn’t tell a joke. His family believed he lived on a beach, away from them on an island they couldn’t reach. Joe lied, knew his deceit, but seeing his family, have to see, and greet them every day, there is no way Joe could stand it, because his money they’d demand it. Joe had to lie and that is why he lives here in this shack. He sees people all day, shows them the way to see the forest and trees, always eager to please visitors on trails forth and back.
