Who loves pie?
Me!
Autumn coming,
Some say it’s here
Making these pies
Is a task that’s near
To my roots, my heart
Whether sweet or tart
Memories drift
As you stir and sift
Rolling dough
Perfect circle, no
But taste is key
My mom had the gift.
Pumpkin , pecan
Blueberry too
Apple and cherry
To name a few
Lemon meringue is my choice
Tart and sweet in its voice
But I wouldn’t frown
With a Macintosh crowned
Crust just right
Crisp, no soggy sight.
My oh my, I do love pie!

The word coffee – an English version in 1582 from (Dutch koffie, Turkish kahve, Arabic qahwah). The story goes an Ethiopian goat herder 800AD, noticed his goats were acting strangely after eating berries. The herder tried them and found them very invigorating also. He took them to a monk who thought they were the devil’s product and threw them in the fire, thus causing a pleasing aroma and the rest is history!

Sweet or plain
Coffee sustains
Many a crew, even me and you
A morning cup of Joe
When your work is going slow
You will be stimulated
By drinking caffeinated
Whether hot or iced
Brain is enticed
Production increased
As caffeine released
Alert and focused now
A warning on how
Can make you irritated
And twitterpated
Raising blood pressure
Four cups is top measure
A useful stay alert tool
But follow the rules
Don’t get obsessed
Enjoy not to access.

I was just thinking today, I’ve been lacking in my positive attitude and humor. My posts have been filled with politics, my disgust with Trump and Vance. I think there’s little more I can do now, no promises. I hope to write some beautiful poetry—yes, that’s what I said, even though I struggle with it, rarely achieve my goal, but I do love trying. And stories, I hope to add humor, my favorite. As long as I’m rambling, I watched a good movie last night. “23 Blast” on Netflix, based on a true story and showing the real life characters in the credits. To end this mild confession, another Shardoma, a poetry form I like.

“NPR identified two Trump campaign staffers involved in an altercation at Arlington National Cemetery last week. They, according to a source, are deputy campaign manager Justin Caporale and Michel Picard, a member of Trump’s advance team. Those staffers had a verbal and physical confrontation with a cemetery official who tried to stop them from taking photos and videos in Section 60, a restricted area where many casualties of Iraq and Afghanistan are buried. The Trump campaign and the US Army acknowledged the incident, but this week, Trump insisted it didn’t take place at all.”
Maybe his campaign people secretly do not want him to win. Maybe he is so demented he can’t stop himself from constantly lying. It’s certainly proven he is incapable of keeping his mouth shut. The smiling thumbs up at the cemetery should be as it is for me, the very last straw. Who in the actual —— would ever be smiling and giving a thumbs up at a cemetery?
One “thumbs up” definition: “you approve of or give the thumbs up to something to show that you approve of something, such as a plan, a suggestion, or an activity, and are willing to accept it.”
No one in this country should ever approve or accept that it is okay for young men and women to die for their country! It is nothing to smile about. It is a tragedy. Respect is never shown by him for anything, really. Maybe one of his golf scores? He has no concept of what serving your country means, shown by the insidious photo taking jaunt. There are many examples of his disrespect.😡
