MLMM Wordle

Even as an adult I don’t have the knack for taking care of pets as it must be a skill of the young. A companion for a solitary elder is fine but the energy it takes to play is another matter. A box of toys tries to silence a puppy, but as a hint, I would say for the elderly, use your phone to ring a grandchild to relieve you and take a rest. Most pets learn the routine of their keeper quickly.

“There’s a lullaby for suffering” and songs written by Leonard Cohen always seem to have that sadness or grief in the background. Even “Dance me to the End of Love”, which sounds cheerful on the surface, suggests only a temporary state of happiness – dancing. His voice is perfect for pushing you into his melancholy words, whether reminding you of a personal experience or a happy ending. There are many versions of the song “Hallelujah”, but my favorite is sung by Jeff Buckley, and in my opinion, seems to impart the sad interpretation of Cohen’s lyrics.

Here are this week’s questions:

  1. Have you ever been to an auction? Yes, it was fun.
  2. Were you ever in a school play or concert? Yes, was not fun.
  3.  In your working life, were you ever rewarded financially for your services apart from your salary? No, are you kidding? I was a lowly secretary.
  4.  How are your feeling today? I’m about to have another ultrasound on my right leg I broke December 6 and then an INR and another visit to wound care.🙄So It’s the luck of the Irish for me!

Gratitude: I am grateful my daughter and granddaughter take me to my appointments and we squeeze in some love and humor through it🥰

Sammiscribbles Weekend Writing Prompt

There are many meanings of the word mandate and quite the good definitions of what we are experiencing in the United States right now. Most appropriate is the number two from the Oxford dictionary: “a sick leader living beyond his mandate”. Anyone, anyone, Bueller? I like that one, and, “verb used by mandate is to give authority to act in a certain way” – anyone thinking of Musk with that one?
