Joy, so happily expressed in a full hot pink skirt

Dancing and swirling around my feet – soft shoes and pink socks move to the rhythm of a polka

Oompahs easily stepped to, all whirling as if the hot breeze itself sets the pace

Poetics: Personifying The Abstract

Waiting

***

Is there anyone out there that likes to wait?

Certainly not me and I offer complaint

Expecting a dull week with no activities

I get a morning call with proclivities

An outing which I need and want

So I hurry, get ready for the jaunt

Then I receive a call, saying no hurry at all

Decided the timing would be slowed to a crawl.

So I’m sitting here waiting to hear when to leave

Waiting and waiting and waiting to receive

A text that will tell me…I have to believe

This trip, in what hour? will be achieved.

Six Sentence Story

***

Of course all the bills I pay with the original card have to be called and given the new card details. It is irritating but we have no choice!
