dips and cracks and slippery stones
dangerous steps, don’t go alone
think of all sailors young and sweet
rested these shores, under their feet
bathed in salty waves coming fast
the stories they tell of their past
we collect the colorful orbs
history we fail to absorb
mighty drifts of sea’s salt and sand
shape stories of rocky shore lands
