winter day
clouds moving swiftly
cold lingers
–
wind sneaks in
windows forming ice
frosted scenes
–
trees, bushes
bend, laden with snow
white, heavy
–
frozen lakes
beckoning skaters
icy dance
–
cold winter landscapes
wild geese flying overhead
white puff clouds moving
faded sun tries warming us
winds declare the freezing win

When I lived in Vermont, it was gray and cold, wet and didn’t seem to end.😉

Even through the imagery of the cold winter scene, I felt the beauty of the snow! Lovely rensaku, Cheryl. 🌷

The whole poem shows how winter’s cold quietly takes over the land and sky with an announcement of victory at the end! Nicely done 👏
