Esther’s Writing Prompts

***

I know it has already been said

Nothing beats the color red

You can have your blue sky

Purple may make you sigh

Yellow daisies, oh my

Green fields make me cry

Orange tastes delish

Indigo promises a wish

Black gives me an ache

So I’ll savor and take

Red – roses, cheeks, berries and lips

You can have all the others, I quip

I want RED.

  1. I call this ‘Loving yourself between the pages.’

She read with dread that book in bed for what it said just filled her head with stuff. Her face went red, her clothes she shed, she couldn’t get enough. And there she spread, without a shred, instead she wore a smile. Her hunger fed, no tears were shed, she wed herself in style.
