
The older she got, the less sure she was about everything. Growing up her strict parents were very clear on every aspect of life, so naturally she obeyed and thought the same. After marrying she moved to a very different area and even the people she met did not speak or have the same ideas that were ingrained in her mind. Then life happened, had children and she expanded her horizons and enjoyed the changing world. Retirement was another new life happening all around her, but she was changing too, learning all the time. However, a slowly developing dementia was claiming her mental space. It was frightening to realize this change was not the learning experience she wanted. Her family started to take control and it seemed even the simplest things were now a chore. Luckily she found help with exciting new medicines and therapies. When she improved, she still found herself asking, “where is…?”
