PROMPT WORD:  WARRANT

***

It used to be you could walk down the street and if you behaved yourself no one bothered you. You certainly were not handcuffed and thrown into a police car. Now you can be strolling with your children, maybe an infant in your arms, and can be accosted like that. The “authorities” dressed in jeans and a polo shirt, rags covering their faces and yelling get in the car. There is no uniform showing they are part of an authority’s office. And there’s no warrant!
