The production only lasted a week, and poor old Austin Pendleton as Fred, took his role seriously. Too seriously, in fact, because when the script called for his character,the prodigal Fred to have broken yellow teeth, Austin visited his dentist with an odd request. Now Austin has a hard time finding new roles with his changed appearance, seemingly permanent.
