I chose number 5😳
I have a bad habit of speaking out, possibly blurting out the first thought of my mind. And of course I do have a temper. Case in point – I was in the lobby sitting at the table when another resident decided that I and my two friends did not belong. Truth be told we did not belong, however, we did not know that at the time. Suddenly this woman stood up in front of her four family guests and yelled at us to get out, we did not belong. She waived her fingers like we were vermin and said, I reserved this whole area, so I would not have to listen to your big, fat mouth pointing to my friend across the table from me. To say the least I was shocked. And I like my friend and our other friend, were playing cards quietly and not disturbing. Our other friend was an 83 year old woman . who was leaving the next day for an assisted living place. Since I was shocked, I yelled back at her. (You do not have the right to speak to anyone like that.) My friend, who was the subject of the attack looked at me, lowered her head and muttered, no, don’t say anything. Since this episode, I have gotten dirty looks from this woman, didn’t even know her name at the time. I am avoiding her and her scalding mouth as much as possible. So this is life in an apartment complex for people 55 and over. So if you live in your own home, appreciate it and enjoy yourself.

I am so sorry this has happened to you. Why couldn’t she have been more discreet in letting you know she had hired the area?
I remember when we bought our semi the problems we had with the people our neighbour had rented their house out to while they went on holiday for 6months. They had parties every night and we had to involve the local authorities because of the noise. It was a horrible time and we sold up six months after the original owners came back. We have always looked for a detached property since then and are lucky we have good neighbours around us.

That is good. It’s a highschool atmosphere here some days. And gossip I don’t partake of gatherings because of it

The community spirit here is wonderful. Covid brought everyone together as they banged pots or clapped outside to let everyone know they were OK. No-one is in your face, but there is always a helping hand on offer if required.

I am glad I’m not the only one struggling with disputes with my fellow residents. I feel for you.

Not a pleasant person to have around. I hope she realizes this fact.
