The tree was hollow, the bark disturbed
A posted note of sadness referred
A shallow mind, a careless point
Two bottles shared, the truth appoint
The ring returned, the couple leave
See a marriage’s love deceived.

I have no theme when I set them, just a jumble of words to start and then some that can be associated.
Thanks for joining in Cheryl. I enjoyed this immensely as your post actually reminds me of Our Tree in the New Forest, a huge elm that we adopted when we first got together. It was a place of solace and peace, set far into the woods off the beaten track. When we got engaged, we put a bottle with a message in it in the hollow of the roots, then two years later when we married, we buried another. We often wonder if the tree is still standing or if our bottles were found and people wondered who these two people were. We calculated it to be about 130 -150 years old I think.
