Heard my cell ring, a message ignored

My treasures are sitting on the shelf,

A magazine article promoting myself

My ego all represented here

I face my life with no fear

I feel my worth truly justified

It’s my opinion, while others are mystified.

    Notes of green
    I’ll learn how from a magazine

    But just for now
    What might you say?
    Might you love me anyway?
    I’m poor, for sure
    But smell alright
    So might I lay with you tonight?
