Fandango’s Story Starter

This week’s Story Starter teaser is:

“I’m sorry, detective,” the officer said, “but none of the fingerprints found at the crime scene matched those of our primary suspect.”

That never stopped Detective Wronclews. He knew the woman was guilty. He could just tell by her swarthy look, tight dress and big dark eyes. The fact she reminded him of his first wife had no influence on his thinking. He immediately knew she was guilty. And then there was the blood on her hands. She of course said she was trying to give CPR to the victim, but the detective knew better. It reminded Wronclews of his third wife, when he saw her cutting up chickens for their dinner. Then there was the nosy neighbor who thought she saw the victim enter the house…who could forget the woman who lived across from the detective and his second wife when they had those violent arguments? Yes, this woman was guilty alright. It was written all over her.
