The constituent’s chants were growing louder, as they waited for Joan to appear. A sign was held up accusing Joan of some illicit act, and you’d think the person had no shame in doing so. Joan was used to these minor attacks, and didn’t choose to let them crush her enthusiasm. She was new to the political game, but had the option to engage such opposition with facts instead of criticism.
