New to the Q? Here’s what to do:
Let your muse out of the jar, and scribble us a poem of precisely 44 words, not counting the title, and using some form of the word jar. Then head out into the blogosphere to visit some of the finest poets on the ’net. And don’t forget: the Quadrille door is ajar all week, and multiple poems are welcome!

Politics around the world
That’s a subject that unfurls
A lot of hate, not much love
Causing people to fight and shove.
Mostly a huge jar of jerks
Always voicing hateful words
Trying to divide us all
Causing freedom to forestall
Then violence occurs.

Quadrille #205 – A Jar Full of Poems
So timely! I refuse to talk politics with anyone but my son. Here, voting is private and confidential for a reason – to avoid harassment that inevitably ensues – and I refuse to give up my right to that privacy.

That is so true, Cheryl, especially the jar of jerks – great use of alliteration – of which we have seen an awful lot lately.

I avoid talking about politics. Best to leave out hearing those hateful words.

Divide and conquer has been effectively used for millennium. When will the manipulated/oppressed wake up and see it for what it is?
