Grandma was the wise one in the family. Her life had been one great adventure, and she had wonderful tales to inspire for all of her younger family. Many a time a story of hers would influence one of the young people, and her ideas would only come across as a narrative, not a sentence of advice. Her own children had often sat at her knee and listened as she enjoyed a cup of tea, wisely knowing, “every day unfurls as it must”.

If only I had thought to capture my mother in law’s mother on paper. Great stories.

Cheryl, the children who were there, sitting at her knee, were blessed. I love that she was sipping tea while she told her stories and shared her wisdom.
My cousin and I spent a lot of time with our grandma. We used to love poring over the photo albums while she told us about our relatives.
