Different perspectives in art as in poetry is what makes it so rich — as you say, “the beholder’s eye” can clash with the artist’s “vision.” A generous approach makes us willing to see anew and so be enriched by different styles, methods, ways of seeing.
Cheryl, I can see where the art world would be astir at Picasso’s way of painting the world as he saw it. His art was ahead of its time, I think. Thank goodness it survived the naysayers. I like your rhyming scheme here.
p.s. I was able to get to your poem through the comment, but others probably can’t see it. If you link it up at Mr. Linky they will be able to see it, or I can link it up for you if you want me to.
Did people really think he should be arrested? I never knew that!
