Fandango’s Story Starter

This week’s Story Starter teaser is:

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Jessica knew she finally had to confront her fears. At least no one else was in sight to see if she flopped, literally flopped off the surf board. She stepped into the salt water and laid down on the board. She paddled out just a little ways and tried sitting up and then standing on the small piece of fiberglass. It was slippery but she could stand! So excited, she practiced a while more and then thought she was ready to try it in public in the morning.
