I’m elusive and sweaty
Handed off here and there
Hands grab at me always
Hoping for a score there
Pushing, elbows, fingernails sharp
Fake falls and splats while coaches harp
Refs unbiased should be the case
Not found in a high school race
Parents and friends loud and obnoxious
Sometimes their words are too toxic
But in the end
Lose or win
They can’t do it without me.

Excellent commentary from the perspective of the ball, Cheryl!

Well done. Some parents can be painful to be around, but the games are important.

Our girls worked so hard and the great thing is they improved over the season and grew to be a close team👍🏻

That’s so cool. That has to be a great feeling for the girls on that team. This is something they’ll carry with them for a long time.
