Six Sentence Story – Uh Oh

***

“Okay, now you’ve done it! You’ve crossed the line, sweeeeet heart …oh yeah, you used to be a sweetheart…now I’d use a different adjective. Funny thing it also begins with an S. You tromp on people’s feelings without a care. It seems that beautiful pumping organ inside that beautiful chest just stopped working and dried up. What? No nasty comeback for me—you know, the words you use every day when and if you decide to talk to me?”

  1. The blood was pulsing through my veins the day you stole my heart.
    A river burst within me
and I was bleeding from the start.
My brain was starved of oxygen
and I fell down to my knees.
My pulse hit seven hundred –
    I had the love disease.
They took me to the doctor
to be told there was no cure.
That love would have to kill me
for the dose I’d caught was pure.
