• “Damn it,” she thought, as the heel on her shoe snapped clean off…and these were her favorites! She thought woefully of the huge amount of money she spent on them, just to fit in. Fitting in was important in her office. It seemed every employee was ultimately dressed, probably spending half of their salary on appearance too. She liked her job, made friends there, but were they really, or just “dressing” themselves as such, just like her.
