W3 – Prompt 81 – Dreams

This week’s prompt is to write a “lento” on the topic of dreams.

  • Two quatrains (four-line stanzas) with a fixed rhyme scheme of abcb, defe, as the 2nd and 4th lines of each stanza must rhyme;
  • All the FIRST words of each verse should rhyme; click HERE for an example.

Was it only a dream

Causing you so close

Glossing real to me it seemed

Pausing as a poem of love composed

Been to sleep once again

Ken your presence warm and clear

Then not possible to refrain

When only a dream brings you near.
