‘Snow would be the easy
way out’

“Snow would be the easy way out” she offered him, smiling. Marriage had ups and downs and after three years it seemed the only thing shared was their love of skiing. The couple had relatively harried lives as successful business people, but had originally fallen in love on the snowy slopes of Colorado. Young and in need of a true companion, they found each other in the romantic winter setting. On vacation trips to take a break, both relished the favorite sport of skiing, and it resulted in a needed closeness. A nearly missed collision caused that meeting, and after leisurely warm conversations between runs, romance bloomed. They laughed later; it seemed too much a “Hallmark” happening, but it brought them together. Realizing a lull had occurred in their relationship, decided to reignite the original dream by returning to where they first met.
