“Oh Pearl, did you hear? Junie just found out she’s getting a baby brother! Oh you bet she is, jealous already! And Roger, is completely potty trained, can you believe it? I can’t see that happening anytime soon for me—I heard mommy saying I’m a late starter. Daddy and mommy are going out again tonight. You know what that means—Maura the horror is coming to babysit. Remember last time when I woke up to see her just standing and staring at me in my crib? Oh, gotta go, mom’s coming and she doesn’t let me use the phone.
